When Subaru WRXs Fly

WRX Jump

I’m no fan of queuing up in parking lots, especially movie theater parking lots packed full of acne-bearded teens who just got out of watching the latest installment of the Twilight series. Idling behind so many Hyundai Elantras, I’ve often wished I had the ability to just leap over the whole lot of ‘em. Apparently, I’m not the only one who’s had that fantasy. Ken Block, rally driver extraordinaire, has also fantasized about launching long distances in his tricked out WRX. The difference, though, is that he actually did it. Check out this 171 ft jump: Read more

Drifting into 2010

In Tokyo, you can buy damn near anything from a vending machine, you can eat a power lunch of octopus kushiyaki from street vendors, and you can stay out drinking all night long with the Yakuza in Kabukichō. However, you can’t (legally) do what these crazy kids are doing in their souped up, accessory-laden Nissan Skylines and Honda Zests. Excuse the soundtrack, but don’t turn the volume down—there’s a creepy commentator hissing over the action from time to time.

Wha-wha-what?

It’s not too uncommon to run across cars in malls. Usually, they’re posh luxury rides being “raffled” off to people willing to fill out one of those little index cards (you’re going to get a call about a timeshare!). But these cars are always parked behind red velvet ropes. Never have I seen a car flipped and trapped on an escalator…until today, that is.

German Strongman vs. Lamborghini

March 27, 2009 by Ryan · Leave a Comment

There’s no doubt in my mind that zee German’s are some of the strongest people on the face of the planet. As evidenced by this official Guinness Book of World Records attempt, this muscle-bound Schwarzen-knockoff holds onto a Lamborghini as the driver drops the clutch and burns up some rubber.

Since my German’s not that good, I don’t know if there was a previous record he was attempting to break or just trying to merely set a new record, but one things for sure: there’s no way in hell I could do this. Props to zee German for manning up to the challenge, fast forward to the 7:30 mark if you want to catch the straight action.

Bugatti Veyron Gets Sideways in the Tundra of Sweden

Who does this?  I mean really, taking your $1.8 million dollar supercar out to test on a snow covered track!  So jealous right now…

Truly a testament to how well the Bugatti’s all wheel drive system works, this three part video should inspire you to become this reckless wealthy.  The only thing I wish was that we could hear the engine better and not have to listen to the dubbed-soundtrack. Make sure to watch part one and three, but part two is where the fun really starts. Hit the jump to scope the vids.

125HP Golf Cart Hits the Dyno

September 12, 2008 by Ryan · Leave a Comment

I’ve heard of Muscle Cars, but a Muscle Golf Cart?!? The guys over at Nevarez Racing Products in Nevada swapped out the 3HP golf cart motor for this 125HP motor from a Yamaha R1. Needless to say, they have a new wheelie-machine!

lambo on tea cups And I Thought Fine China was Supposed to be Fragile...

This Superleggera is balancing on nothing but 4 teacups. Even though the Superleggera is a light weight version of the Lamborghini Gallardo, it still weighs 3,000 pounds. This photo is a testament to the strength of these tea cups, so if you’re looking for some bombproof China (or a Lambo Superleggera!), stop by the William Ashley China shop in Toronto.

Insane Ghost-Riding!

To say the least, Ghost Riding is really, really dangerous. In fact, it shouldn’t be encouraged. None the less, this video is too crazy to not post up…don’t try this at home!
